My Thoughts for the Blogging Day...

Mental Illness Strikes Overnight...
I was so disheartened when I woke up in the middle of the night with a severe anxiety attack.  I had never had that happen before.  My heart was racing wildly. I felt mentally discombobulated.  I was drenched wet in sweat.  My eyesight was all askew.  I lay in the bed scared to death and it took two hours to pass.  I don't know what I am going to do.  I am so scared of these attacks.  They are agony.  I wouldn't wish them upon my worst enemy.

Charlie Arrives...
Charlie arrived last night bearing lots of gifts.  He brought me two Big Macs, a large fry, a regular cup of Coke, and then six diet Cokes for tomorrow.  I took all my medications and we sat down to talk.  Charlie is Maggie's favorite person.  More favorite than I much to my chagrin.

"I tell people all the time you brought Horsefly out of his shell," Charlie told me. "You saved his life. Thank you."

Horsefly was bowling and Charlie soon left to go pick him up and take him home.  Horsefly will be 39 this year.  He is a year older than me.  Maggie and I were sad to see Charlie go.

Linux Convert...
I am a complete Linux fan now.  I will never go back to using Windows after last night.  I wiped my Window's partition clean last night, installed Ubuntu and left Windows behind.  I have found all the programs in need to use in Linux and just didn't need that bloated buggy software called Windows 7 anymore.  I will be writing more about this and my experiences with Ubuntu.  The only drawback is I can't play video games anymore, but I probably won't miss it.  I haven't played in quite awhile.  Video games were too much like a tedious job.  Go here.  Buy this. Talk to him.  Kill that.  All the games were the same.

Weather Thrills...
We have a chance of thunderstorms today.  The weather geek in me is excited.  It is only a 30% chance, but it is enough to give me hope.  I long for those summer pop-up thunderstorms that are so characteristic of the South.  I will watch the weather incessantly today no doubt - the radar my constant companion.  I think my old high school friend, Mary, will understand.  She is also a weather geek.

waking up with a panic attack is the worst. I havw only had a few panic attacks but the by far worst one was the one that woke me up. when you were waiting for it to pass did you pray? I find that prayer and very deep breathing are my only respite (though at times that isn't much)
hope you have a great day.

Minny,

Yes, I did pray and deep breathing helps me as well.

Joy, Snow? This late in the year? Wow! You guys are having an especially cold winter. Enjoy the snow and Easter.
