Mom acted ugly to me this morning.  It REALLY hurt my feelings and I was sulking when I drove over.  She would never talk that way to my brother or sister.  Because if she did, they wouldn't speak to her for weeks.  Me?  I just said I was sorry for calling so early.  I thought it was ten instead of nine.

My father has new yard help.  His name is J.W. and we have become fast friends.  J.W. used to be a mechanic and lost his job when cars became too technical.  J.W. keeps asking me to take him fishing over at our pond in God's Country.

"We'll go when it gets warmer," I told him.

"You sure there's bass in that pond?" he will ask.

"They practically jump on your line," I told him to vigorous grins.

Usually mothers get ugly with their offspring that they are the closest to.

They know they will be forgiven right away. That is what I think anyways, but I know it is sure no fun to be on the receiving end!

Hope you and JW have a good time fishing.

I can snap at my kids if they wake me up when I'm not feeling well, but I usually apologize later on. It's not intentional or anything, it's just that somestimes they don't realize.

I think there is something to what Lena says - I am very close to the kids.

I know your mom can be hurtful sometimes. I suppose some of it is her medication. I bet as a child it was more hurtful, but now you can understand it better. Still hurts, I know. Maybe when she is over one day and doing ok, you can tell her how it makes you feel. There is nothing wrong with that.

Glad to hear you made a new friend - we can always have more of them! :-)

sorry about that with your mom. Maybe because she's closest to you, it's easier to talk to the ones we are closest too in a not so nice way..

I bet she'd love that pond.

happy monday :)

Hang in there Andrew. And go fishing because it cures a lot of bad feelings. There's nothing like a day on the water to meditate and just feel grateful.

Are you ok? It has been longer than you typically go without writing. I know that can happen on occasion, for I am AWOL from my blog quite a bit the last three weeks.

I will presume and hope everything is ok with you. Everything is "ok" with me, but it is just too damn busy this time of the semestser. It seems EVERYONE and EVERYTHING wants or needs my time this time of year. I have had several days in the last few weeks where I go to the U at 5 am and end up getting home at 8 or 9 pm. Given that I am also damn determined to keep up the consistency in walking, it means I end up walking at 4am or 9pm, both of which take a toll as well.

Well, hopefully, at most there are two more weeks AT MOST of this bullsh*t. Then my life will calm down again. As soon as I get the grades in, I am going go spend some time with my father-in-law and drink myself silly and have about a dozen pipes.

So, please let us know how you are doing.
