Diarrhea of the Keyboard...

I embarrassed myself yesterday.  Most normal people wouldn't be blogging to 300 strangers a day about their parents not letting him have money.  I need some kind of editor to warn me of these blogging faux pas.  It is definitely not how to win friends and influence people.  That's all I've got to say today.

Most people aren't in your particular situation. Nothing to be embarrassed about.

You shouldn't be embarrassed...Its your blog and you should feel comfortable to say anything you want..We read your blog and we understand...We think of you as family....

why are you embarrassed? well, actually, i feel that way on my blog sometimes too!

so i get how you are feeling altho i don't see anything for you to be embarassed about.

take a deep breath. it is all good.

btw, 300 people reading your blog? dude. quit looking at your stat counter. as a borderline OCD chick, i can safely say, watching stats and comments can really make one self conscious.

btw part II, 300 people reading your blog? dude. i am envious. wish i had that many readers (-:

It's your blog and you can blog about what you want. It's one of the things that makes you unique and keeps your blog your own. Don't worry about it. I blog differently too and people keep reading me. ;-)

Andrew, dear - here's a little perspective.

Those of us who are 'regulars' here on 4th Avenue don't see anything wrong with what you wrote. We are FRIENDS. Friends like you - warts and all! Believe me, I've written worse on my blog!

AND - just how many of these readers in blogland are you ever going to meet - face-to-face? I mean the ones who are not friends.

This is kind of an annonymous (sp?) way to vent . . let it out if you feel like it- -Your friends understand and cheer you on and the strangers. . . . well, any of the strangers that don't like it just don't belong here!

Don't be so hard on yourself. Be carefule - you pick on my friend Andrew too much and I'll have his faithful sidekick Maggie get ya!

Smile for me - give Mags a hug!

Hey Sweet Pea.. Nothing to worry about. Blog it. Vent it. Talk about it. It's all good. And OK.

I agree with everyone! A blog is usually a way for someone to vent, and I rarely think anything is TMI, unless it involves bodily functions.
I have always enjoyed your blog! Please don't feel bad. *hugs*

Oh, jeez Andrew! I'm going to second everyone else and say that we all know your situation and don't even give it a second thought. Blogging, by its very nature, is emotive. Say what you want. And the fact that you do "let it all out" is why we keep coming back to read. You're all good. No apologies are necessary.

Blogging is your catharsis. It's good for you! Don't be embarrassed.

Look on the bright side: You no longer have to worry about anyone asking your for a big loan -- unless it's under $3. That's gotta be a good thing.

Honestly, you have nothing to worry about. I've been reading you for a year now, and I don't care. I still think highly of you. You're doing what you gotta do. Do it. No guilt. If people don't like it, show 'em the door. Tell 'em to stick it. Have Maggie pee on them.

Sir:

I saw nothing wrong with what you wrote either. It seemed an essay filled with very heart-felt, deeply held feelings and emotion.

The words you wrote rung true and experiential... no writer could hope for more.

Your friend,

At least it's honest. So much "air-brushing" on blogs.

DUDE - Cut your self some slack. If it's what your dealing with at the moment and thinking about go ahead and post it. I don't get the sense that any one judges here.

From me to you, something I've not shared in blog land. This coming Sunday is my six month mark of sobriety. Coming here and reading you has helped me get there.

I love ya man!

I don't see any wrong in it at all. Rather I respect your forthright ways.

Don't be embarrassed! We all need a way to vent, this blog is a great place to do the venting. You write so well, we all felt your pain. We keep coming back because we care about you. Thank you for being so open and honest. We all could take a lesson from you.

Andrew, one of the things I so enjoy about your blog is how candid and honest and sincere you are. You should NEVER feel embarrassed about anything you write. No one is here to judge you. A friend of mine introduced me to your blog about a month ago and I have enjoyed reading it every day since and I commend you for all you are doing in your life.

Hey Andrew - guess what I did Wednesday! As I left work, walking out the door - I QUIT!

Yikes! Not TOOOOO stupid! I turn 62 in April - Social Security starts in May. So, we will only have one income for Feb Mar & April. Hubby says it's okay. But he hasn't seen the bank balance lately!

Oh well - I feel better! My boss was an ogre! I'd been there 8 years and he has been hell to deal with over the past 6 months and just getting worse & worse.

Didn't even get a dang gold watch!

I'm already getting used to it - and liking it!

Have a wonderful Saturday - hug Maggie for me!
