Down Time

It's been a quiet weekend.  I've done nothing -- absolutely nothing.  Mom was supposed to come by with coffee today, but I haven't heard from her yet.  Me and Dad were both saying that would end soon.  The call of the bed with my mother is just too strong.  She will now go back to sleeping all day long.

Blogs have been really quiet as well.  I don't know if everyone is scrambling for last minute vacations, or just quiet.  These long, hot summer days tend to keep people inside and sedentary.

Your Mom sounds depressed. Does she see anyone for it?

Andrew, because you put this blog out for everyone's comment, I am going to start correcting your grammar.

It is "Dad and I".

You can publish your posts with whatever grammar you like! Ha! ;) But I just wanted to say hi and see how you were doing. So.. how are you?

Just wandering around this morning, I cannot sleep. You have been on my mind recently, and I just want to tell you that I'm thinking of you.

I hope this is a stellar week for you Andrew.

Hugs.

After reading the comments I feel like smacking somebody.

I hope you have a good Monday. Did it storm last night? We had a monster storm come through early Saturday morning. Lost some flower pots and my umbrella took off. Again.

I sent my oldest off to law school this morning. I'm feeling sad today.

First of all, look at you, being sober 257 days. CONGRATS! Did you get any of the storms that came through Saturday? We had terrible storms over here in GA. A hugh tree demolished a house in SE Atlanta, I mean, it flatened an old, restored home. Power was out to thousands of GA Power customers. We were visiting friends and when the tornado warning went off, we left and "flew" home, but not without dodging downed trees in the road. I know you love storms, but this one was a big over the top. I've been thinking about you since you lost your dear neighbor, Joyce.

Sorry that 258 days!

If your dad spent half as much time trying to help your mother as he does telling people how to run their lives, she might just be able to function like a normal woman should.

He should be ashamed of himself.

Congrats on your sobriety! I know how hard it is not to fall. I'm watching someone close to me fight the same battle.

Andrew, you do just fine with your posts. Don't get hung-up on things and let this bother you. I KNOW that MY grammar and spelling is NOT perfect.

I love that you have "One day at a time" under your sobriety counter. Way to keep it real Andrew.
